 Internship Program in Ophthalmology – Kansas State University

Kansas State University Veterinary Health Center is accepting applications from qualified individuals for a one-year clinical ophthalmology internship.  The objectives of the program are to provide advanced clinical training and experience in clinical ophthalmic research.  The Ophthalmology Service is supported by two board certified ophthalmologists. The internship is further supported by board certified faculty in large and small animal medicine and surgery, anesthesiology, dermatology, zoological medicine, radiology, and oncology. The VHC has an excellent case load and offers exposure to all domestic species as well as exotics.

 Dates: July 8, 2024-July 9, 2025

Salary: $42,485

Prerequisites: One-year rotating internship or equivalent experience.

1. Curriculum Vitae (including class rank in veterinary school).

2. Official transcripts and grade point average from all post-secondary institutions (veterinary schools) attended.

3. Three Letters of Reference - Letters should be submitted electronically by the individuals writing the letters, not forwarded by the applicant.

4. Letter of Intent - A personal statement describing background, reasons for applying to the internship, and career goals.

The successful applicant must apply for a Kansas Veterinary Institutional License.
