Maple Veterinary Specialists is an independently owned, multi-specialty referral hospital located in the Greater Vancouver area of British Columbia. The hospital is scheduled to open in the coming months, and we are seeking a Veterinary Ophthalmologist (DACVO or board-eligible).

This position offers a unique opportunity to build and shape a comprehensive ophthalmology service within a non-corporate, specialist-led environment, designed to support advanced clinical practice and professional autonomy.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will develop a high-level ophthalmology referral service with the ability for advanced procedures and surgery. The role is particularly well suited to an ophthalmologist seeking a procedure-heavy caseload, supported by strong regional referral demand.

Facilities & Equipment

Maple Veterinary Specialists is equipped with a high-end, fully stocked ophthalmology and surgical suite, curated to support advanced medical and surgical ophthalmology from opening day. Relevant equipment includes:

  • Leica M822 F20 surgical microscope

  • Phacoemulsification surgical infrastructure

  • Ophthalmic laser endoscopy system

  • Ellex Eye Cubed ultrasound

The facility will allow ophthalmologists to practice at the highest level without compromise.
