Eye Clinic for Animals (ECA) is seeking a Veterinary Ophthalmologist to join our established specialist referral practice in Sydney.

This is an opportunity to work in a dedicated ophthalmology-only hospital, alongside a collaborative team of ophthalmologists and residents, with access to advanced surgical equipment and a diverse referral caseload.

About the Practice

ECA is a three-ophthalmologist practice supported by two second-year residents, with a strong culture of teamwork, case discussion and shared clinical decision-making.

There is genuine opportunity to be involved in resident training and mentoring, as well as ongoing professional development within a busy and progressive referral environment.

As official ophthalmology sponsors to Taronga Conservation Society, the practice also sees occasional exotic and wildlife ophthalmology cases, in addition to a high-volume companion animal referral caseload.

Clinical Facilities

Our purpose-built ophthalmology hospital on Sydney’s North Shore is equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical technology including OCT, ERG, specular microscopy, ocular surface analyser and dedicated ophthalmic ultrasound.

ECA is also home to Australia’s only veterinary retinal reattachment surgeons, providing exposure to advanced procedures rarely performed elsewhere.
