Dr. Elizabeth Giuliano Presents at American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic Surgeons Meeting

Congratulations to ACVO Member, Dr. Elizabeth A. Giuliano, DVM, MS, DACVO who was the first ever veterinary ophthalmologist to be invited to speak at the annual American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic Surgeons Annual Scientific Symposium.  The meeting hosted approximately 1500 attendees and took place November 2-3, 2023 in San Francisco.  Dr. Giuliano’s talk was entitled “Comparative Eyelid and Orbital surgical conditions: the veterinary ophthalmology experience”. When asked about the meeting, Dr. Giuliano said “I would like to thank the ABVO leadership for their recommendation to the ASOPRS conference organizers that I serve as our college’s representative.  It was an incredible 2-day experience, flush with high quality scientific abstracts, a robust exhibit hall, and several in-depth advanced level talks. I felt extremely grateful for the warm reception I received from the attendees.  It was an honor to represent the ACVO to this community of physician ophthalmologists and I would strongly recommend this meeting to any of our membership interested in oculoplastic surgery”.
