Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Veterinary Ophthalmologist, True North Veterinary Eye Care, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Veterinary Ophthalmologist
True North Veterinary Eye Care, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
True North Veterinary Eye Care is seeking a Veterinary Ophthalmologist to join our growing, independently owned practice in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. We welcome applications from board-certified or board-eligible candidates interested in either a part-time or full-time position.
Founded in 2023 by Dr. Kim Hsu, True North Veterinary Eye Care is Manitoba’s only dedicated companion animal specialty hospital. Our practice was built on the core values of family, excellence, and lifelong learning. You would join a family-oriented hospital with an exceptional support team and a strong commitment to outstanding patient care and client service.
Given the historic lack of specialty care in Manitoba, your presence at True North would have a profound impact on the veterinary landscape in central Canada. We are also immensely privileged to offer retinal reattachment surgery, allowing us to provide advanced care to patients referred from across Canada.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established specialty practice while helping shape and grow both our hospital and the veterinary community around us. We are looking for a colleague who shares our commitment to clinical excellence, compassionate patient care, and creating a positive, collaborative workplace. Why Winnipeg?
Winnipeg may not have the mountains of Vancouver or the profile of Canada’s largest cities, but that is part of its charm. It is a city with a big heart, a strong sense of community, and genuinely friendly people.
Winnipeg offers an excellent quality of life, with beautiful summers and abundant opportunities for hiking, camping, entertainment, dining, shopping, and cultural and community events. During the summer, Manitobans can usually be found at the lake on the weekend—and there are countless opportunities to explore Manitoba’s beautiful lakes, parks, and wilderness.
And while our winters are certainly cold, they come with their own rewards. Embrace winter as an outdoor playground, with abundant opportunities for skiing, snowshoeing, skating, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and other winter sports.
For families, Winnipeg offers affordable housing, bilingual education options, and a wide range of family-friendly activities. It is a city where it is possible to build a career, buy a home (and a cabin on the water), raise a family, and become part of an incredible community.
