Summit Veterinary Referral Center near Seattle, WA is looking for a warm and innovative second Ophthalmologist to support our existing robust caseload.
Summit is the largest and most progressive veterinary multi-specialty hospital in the Seattle area.
We believe in highly skilled and ample support staff, daily rounds, and collaborative medicine. We get a lot done but also have fun and friends at work. Summit’s continuous growth creates a dynamic environment with many opportunities for innovation, contribution to new ideas, and personal and professional growth. You will thrive at Summit if you are enthusiastic, empathetic, have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and love working in a team setting.
To serve our continuously growing demand, Summit is currently undergoing a 12,000 square foot expansion, doubling our clinical space. We anticipate completion in spring 2020. Our current services include internal medicine, oncology, neurology, ophthalmology, surgery, radiology, emergency/critical care, veterinary social work and we are adding cardiology in fall 2019. We are well equipped with diagnostic and monitoring equipment and are always open to exploring new therapies and service lines.
Summit strongly encourages continuous learning and development for all staff through in house CE, an online education portal, and financial support to pursue external CE. Opportunities for teaching our staff, surgical residents, and referral community are also plentiful. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, and travel for your interview is provided by Summit.
Tacoma is also rapidly growing and offers every type of living that you could want. Downtown has new and historic condos, nightlife, museums, great food, breweries, and farmer’s markets. The surrounding suburbs offer great schools, beautiful yards, and many homes with water and mountain views. Rural farm living is also within driving distance of the practice. Within a 2-3 hour drive are national and state parks, ski resorts, the Pacific Ocean, and wine country. There is no shortage of easily accessible activities and the weather is gorgeous.
Our current ophthalmologist is Dr. Nathan Kice DACVO (2009). Our website is www.summitvets.com. For more information, please contact our hospital manager, Asya Khesin at firstname.lastname@example.org or 253-983-1114.
