Animal Eye Clinic of Oklahoma City and Tulsa is seeking a board certified or board eligible ophthalmologist!

The Animal Eye Clinic has locations in both Oklahoma City and Tulsa. If you enjoy a big city atmosphere but prefer a slower pace, Oklahoma is a great place to call home. Described as America’s Heartland, Oklahoma is a gateway to the west. It is the land of red dirt, buffalo, and oil rigs. There are zoos, aquariums, lavish gardens, nature parks, as well as world class art museums and performing arts theaters. There is more shoreline in Oklahoma than any other state. Oklahoma is also a sport-loving state and always has a team to follow, whether it is the NBA Thunder, or the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University collegiate teams. If you add all of this to Oklahoma’s thriving economy and low cost of living, you have a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

The Animal Eye Clinic has been serving clients from Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri for over 30 years! We have a long-standing loyal clientele base. Our veterinary referral base is vast and well established with over 400 referring DVMs; we work in close association with board certified surgeons, internal medicine specialists, and a board-certified dentist. We have a 24-hour animal emergency hospital conveniently located next door to our Tulsa clinic.

The Animal Eye Clinic is a privately-owned practice. There is a potential for part ownership with this position. You will work in close proximity and collaboration with a number of other veterinary specialists. This practice runs smoothly and efficiently; a requirement when the surgical case load brings in over 150 cataracts a year.

Both locations have the latest in diagnostic and surgical equipment including AnVision Retiport ERGs, Accutone BScan Ultrasounds, Ellman cauteries, Alexos phacoemulsification units, Tonovets, and a Toshiba 16 Slice CT Scan.

For an active lifestyle, we have running/bike trails, parks, and locker rooms. This position includes a private office, no “on-call” hours, no weekend requirements, and a very helpful and skilled surgical assistant for all procedures.

Our staff is dedicated and friendly. All of our technicians and receptionists are enthusiastic about each case and eager to form long term relationships with our clients and our patients. Many of our staff members have been with the Animal Eye Clinic for over 10 years, some as long as 20 years! Our clients rave about their professionalism, their patience, and their personalized care. Our staff will be happy to work alongside you as you transition to the Oklahoma they all know and love.

We offer a generous compensation package that includes base salary + commission, paid vacation, health insurance, 401k retirement plan, continuing education allowance, and licensing/membership fees.
