The Animal Ophthalmology Clinic, LTD. is seeking a board certified or board eligible ophthalmologist to join our expanding practice. We have two practice locations, one in Dallas and one in Grapevine, Texas. Both clinics are located in a multi-specialty hospital with the ability to confer and collaborate with other specialists on cases in addition to our referrals from the areas excellent referring veterinarians. Coverage of emergency and critical care cases is thus easily available. Each facility has exam, lab, and surgery spaces dedicated solely to our use, and both clinics have knowledgeable and helpful staff to assist us. In addition to the usual technical support, the staff at both clinics is trained in performing routine diagnostics including cultures, in-house blood work, tonometry, Schirmer tear tests, and fluorescein staining as well electroretinography and ultrasonography (including high resolution ultrasonography). Both clinics maintain state-of-the-art equipment.
We offer competitive compensation and benefit packages as well as relocating assistance. Full time work can be accommodated with either a four- or five-day schedule (depending on your desires) and with shared on call duties. You will be joining a practice with 3 board certified ophthalmologists and a resident so individual case discussions, rounds, and journal club are readily available. In addition, we have access to rounds with M.D. ophthalmologists at U. T. Southwestern Health Sciences Center. Membership in Local, State, and National Veterinary and Veterinary Ophthalmology organizations is provided, and providing continuing education is heartily encouraged.
The Dallas-Fort Worth area (with its surrounding cities) has sustained tremendous economic growth and is one of the fastest growing areas in the country allowing for consistently growing caseloads and highly motivated clientele. Both clinics are located near award-winning public and private school districts.
